Join us for our multicultural heritage focus groups & workshops this summer! South Glasgow Heritage and Environment Trust are developing an archive of the Southside, and we want to ensure that it is representative of the experiences of the whole community. The archive will be open and accessible to all, digitised where possible, and exhibited in local venues.

We’d like to consult local women and ethnic minority groups (no matter how long you’ve been here or how recently you’ve joined the community), to see what the Southside means to you, and what an accessible and representative archive on local heritage might look like. So come along for a chat and a cup of tea! If you are happy to bring an object, photo, or any material that makes you think of local memories, please bring it along and share your thoughts, local knowledge, and memories with us!

Likewise anyone who is happy for us to make copies of material for our archive, or even donate items (e.g. material from Milk’s open mic nights, sewing suppers, zine-making workshops, and Making Art Making Home projects), please do bring it along! We look forward to seeing you there!
