SGHET welcoming new members

Committee and Trust member applications open

JOIN THE COMMITTEE

APPLY TO JOIN THE COMMITTEE

SGHET is run by a management committee of local people and others interested in researching, preserving and maintaining the rich environment and heritage of the Southside. The collective role of the management committee is to provide strategic direction and constructive challenge to ensure SGHET delivers its goals and objectives and is managed effectively.

The Board of Trustees is seeking five new colleagues to assist and advise as SGHET seeks to grow and develop. With a whole host of new projects on the horizon, we particularly encourage applications from those with experience and networks in publishing, app development, tourism, archiving and funding, but all applications will be considered.

Experience of heritage and environment is not necessary, but a commitment to be actively involved and the ability to contribute towards the delivery of the strategic aims of SGHET with time, energy and skills are a must.

It is our mission to recognise the importance of heritage, history, and environment issues, in South Glasgow, and to implement a strategy towards greater knowledge for all. In order to do this effectively we need to recruit Trust members.

As a member you will be involved in shaping the future of SGHET. You'll be entitled to attend and vote at the AGM and other special meetings and contribute ideas and research for new projects. You will have the opportunity to join sub-committees to work on special projects and you'll also receive regular newsletters with information on events, tours, special discounts and all you would want to know about the history of South Glasgow.

By joining the Trust you'll be helping to bring the history of the Southside to life and shape it's future.
