This year’s Lecture Series has been organised as a result of the partial destruction by fire of the Glasgow School of Art, the Society’s long standing venue for these events. Please take note of the venues and times below.

‘Venice..Another Italian Job’

Mark is Chair of the Society and a Tutor and Lecturer at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in the Glasgow School of Art. The talk offers some critical insights into this fascinating city.

‘A Night at the Archive’
Please assemble on 5th Floor Mitchell Library at 6.30pm.
Roger Guthrie, Archivist and member of the Society accompanied by
Dr Irene O’Brien, Principal Archivist will arrange a selection of architectural drawings from the City’s Archive.
Wednesday 15 April
‘A Night at the Library’
Glasgow School of Art Library, Scott Street, Glasgow
7.00pm Library 1st Floor
David Buri and Duncan Chappell, Architectural Librarians will lay on a display of some of the rarest and possibly more eccentric books in the School’s collection.
Lectures are free to members of the Alexander Thomson Society.
